This is a problem with all animals. There just isn’t enough people who can help. A lot of people want to help they just can’t for different reasons. It starts and ends with the original owner. Unfortunately

I really wish you guys would at least consider that lugging in (Sierra Leone) and running one good race one bad race and rearing and kicking when being tacked up (Fierceness) could be caused by physical issues. Describing such behaviors as "antics," the horse being a head case or even encouraging ignores that there very well might be something physically wrong with these horses. I'm not saying they should be scratched or running them is abuse. I'm just saying horses generally run straight and don't run below their ability and don't rear and kick for no reason. And that reason the many times is physical. Look at how Bobby Frankel handled Ghostzapper. Ghostzapper was one of the best horses ever because he had a trainer who understood that horses give you signs when they are not physically okay.

Proud to know people are trying to stop these terrible behaviors to such wonderful, innocent animals 🇺🇸🐎

These horses are no objects. They have character, emotions and thrive living in a herd. Giving Life creates responsibility. 🐣

Killpens should not exist. There should be a change in the law protecting horses, mules and donkrys.

As a former director of fan education at some of the Texas tracks, I would tell people if you want to know what a horse should look like when they come on the track, watch equestrian show jumping horses.They are picture perfect every time.

Please be aware that horses are under violent attack in America and the State of Florida. Please make sure you have security cameras. Horses are being stolen and killed for meat on the black market. Please be aware of this and everyone take measures to keep horses safe. A racing horse named Funny Biz was just killed in the Tampa Bay area on some back woods farm and it was recorded by investigators. They think she was stolen and killed. It's awful. Be vigilant and aware. We must rescue and protect horses from being killed!!!! We owe these majestic creatures so much.

I started watching @FletcherFarmsAmarillo who started rescuing Belgian Draft horses, BorderHouse slaughter ? is also another place who rescues as well, and because of them I had no idea this thing was occurring. Being used to win some money and then tossed aside is a crime.

I’m so glad you were in a position to help,when I was younger managed to save a beautiful Australian stock horse and a welsh pony,they were beautiful for trail riding,they were destined for the dogger.They were beautiful, long gone now, their graves out side under the gum tree they used to share for shade,I can see it from the kitchen window, I miss them still.

Awe what a shame I didn't know people threw away there race horses like that after the horse gave them so much l love horses I've never had one but I can tell you if I had we would of been friends for life

Thank you so much for this video and being who you are - you're a wonderful spokesperson for these majestic animals. I have a horse who when I bought him failed the vet exam but I knew if I sent him back he would end up at auction. I have had him 5 years now and enjoyed riding him for a time I love him and though he has challenges and I may not be able to ride him again I will care for him to the end.

This is tragic. I got an off-the-track thoroughbred and he was the best horse I ever had. I recommend everyone who wants a horse to rescue one.

Then you are responsible for their lives so they don't end up abandoned, neglected and in kill situations. Boy was I naïve. I thought a race horse with all the money that they put into training and coming out with a good winner would have the right and the respect to retire was honors sadly I have been proven wrong. 😔

I can't thank you enough. Taking responsibility to ensure the safety of these horses that have worked so hard for us, means everything to them. It's doing the right thing, which so many do not. Animals are smart as you say, they know when they are in a bad situation and it breaks them. A life worth living right until the end is what they deserve, no question.

Hi! I have 3 rescue horses from kill pens. I never had so much fun rehabbing these animals. Right now I am trying desperately to find a job to keep this up in terms of board and everything. Please keep up the good work.

Thank you for being their guardian angel and saving these beautiful horses from an undeserved and horrific fate. The whole issue is a nightmare and we need to pass some kind of legislation that helps save horses from this cruel, inhumane ending that they do not deserve.
